Birminghams first Michelin Star restaurant, Simpsons was the vision of the chef Andreas Antona, who jointly with the Calthorpe Estate refurbished a large Grade II Listed villa in the Edgbaston Conservation area to create his restaurant
As part of a large programme of refurbishment and upgrading of run down residential and office buildings within the Calthorpe Estate, Mike Lapworth and his team fully restored many historic buildings within the Estate and Edgbaston Conservation Area for use as new offices.
Works included Listed Building Consent, restoration of built fabric (walls, floors and roof) using traditional methods and materials providing new well lit office spaces with private parking facilities.
Users of the refurbished buildings include medical clinics, treatment centres, offices, day nurseries and restaurants.
