Mixed Use Redevelopment of a former factory in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham that has now been transformed into retail and restaurants on the ground floor with apartments on the upper three floors
As part of a large programme of refurbishment and upgrading of run down residential and office buildings within the Calthorpe Estate, Mike Lapworth and his team fully restored many historic buildings within the Estate and Edgbaston Conservation Area for use as new offices.
Works included Listed Building Consent, restoration of built fabric (walls, floors and roof) using traditional methods and materials providing new well lit office spaces with private parking facilities.
Users of the refurbished buildings include medical clinics, treatment centres, offices, day nurseries and restaurants.

Birminghams first Michelin Star restaurant, Simpsons was the vision of the chef Andreas Antona, who jointly with the Calthorpe Estate refurbished a large Grade II Listed villa in the Edgbaston Conservation area to create his restaurant


Redevelopment on the site of a fire damaged former factory unit used as a Builders’ Merchants located on a small industrial estate in Birmingham. Plans have been submitted to the Council to provide for new industrial units
